Richard Foster was born and raised in Springfield and has resided in the NW Columbus area for over 20 years.  He recently retired from Honda of America and was previously in retailing for 14 years with Allied/Federated Department Stores. 

Richard founded Lucky Dog Pet Services to provide professional and personalized in-home pet care.  His love for animals and many years of owning dogs led him to this new career path.  Richard recently adopted a retired greyhound racer, Ellie, a two year old red brindle female from the Melbourne, FL race track.  In addition, he is now fostering a male greyhound (Andy) from a West Virginia farm.

He has owned several dogs consisting of a short hair pointer, terrier mix, golden retriever, old english sheepdog, chessie and raised rabbits and ducks as a youngster.  Several of his dogs had "special needs". 

Helping lost animals find their way home and finding homes for unwanted animals is his passion. He is currently active in Central Ohio Greyhound Rescue. Richard has tended to and cared for several neighbors pets while they are away over the years. He has found that pet sitting keeps him happy and free
